At the beginning of Job’s amazing story, God showed up. He did not come to answer Job’s questions or to defend His actions or inactivity. He came to put Job and his three friends in their places and showed Himself to be God. Job endured difficult dark nights, but God came to bring the drawing of the day.
According to Psalm 30:5: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
It does not matter how severe or how long is your dark night of affliction have been, your morning will definitely be coming. Job did not die in his dark nights; he saw the dawn of a new day. Every trouble we may face in life will come to an end and God will be glorified in our lives, not the devil.
Restoration
God restored the fortunes of Job in the morning, when he had prayed for his friends. God appeared to end his dark nights and allow him to walk in his new season. God is the one who brings our new season following our dark nights. We must therefore look to Him alone and wait on Him. We must avoid resentment and bitterness towards those who did not treat us well in our dark nights of afflictions. In praying for his friends, Job dealt with whatever hard feelings he had towards them, and prepared himself to received God’s blessings and restoration.
Revelation 21:3-5 echoes that we will experience the restoration and renewal of all things, as promised.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:3-5 KJV
Job received a restoration in his lifetime- his friends’ fortunes returned, his flocks and herds multiplied, his home filled with new children.
We know that the day will break regardless of how dark the night has been, we wait for it with anticipation and hope. God can restore what the enemy has stolen from us, just like he restored double to Job. Your morning will come with the restoration from God in its due time, God is an on-time God He is never late. When you have a living hope like this, you can steward well whatever difficult season you are facing now and will face in the future. The hope for a morning is part of our covenant relationship with God. It does not matter how long or how dark the night may seem; the day will always dawn. YOUR MORNING WILL DEFINITELY COME wait for it.
Have a Wonderful day
