Biblical View of Meaningfully
Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. Daniel 7:19 KJV
Trouble comes in all shades and shapes and can cause you disappointment. Disappointment can drain us dry emotionally and spiritually. The church can disappoint us, or a friend can betray a confidence. Our boss can treat us unfairly, or tragedy can touch those we love. We can be disappointed with life in general. We experience an especially sharp pain when our children, families or loved ones disappoints us.
James exhorted Christians to pray about such problems.
He talked about God’s healing in all sorts of dimensions.
He told the suffering to “keep praying”.
He told the sick to seek prayer from the leaders of the church.
He told those who needed forgiveness to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other.
And he said that the one who brings a brother or sister back to the truth would “save that sinner from death and bring about forgiveness of many sins”. James 5:1-20 KJV
The Greek word for brothers and sisters (adelphoi)
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of
our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2nd Thessalonians 1:11- 12 NIV
When trouble comes to our own doorstep and involves those who are nearest and dearest to us, we need to ask the Lord to mend and heal the hurts. It also helps to share our burden with others. Many times, we find it hard to admit to others that we are hurt. We feel too guilty or ashamed to share our headaches but we can tell God all about it and start there. And we can share with close, believing friends if it’s appropriate. We can talk to the leaders of our church. We need to gather a little spiritual an emotional support around ourselves.
Sometimes believer’s ministry especially leaders have deep secrets that they are ashamed to reveal to someone and wonders how they can deal with their disappointment, this can caused devastation and separation in the family if God is not in the midst. James echoes that we must pray “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results”. This doesn’t mean that God will always answer our prayers exactly how or when we would like, but it does mean the ones we have prayed for will benefit spiritually.
Deal with disappointments with the daily devotion of intercessory prayer! it would be our most meaningful work.

He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee today:
Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
(A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD.) Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.
Have a wonderful Day.
