Biblical View of Salvation:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2nd Corinthians 5:21(KJV)
Philosophy’s View: It is not from yourself or anything you’ve done, but the gift of God.” Salvation, therefore, is a free gift of grace from God. When a person accepts the gift of salvation, he or she is said to be justified — made acceptable before (or made right with) God.
Salvation is saving souls from the consequences of sin, also deliverance from sin and eternal death through the atonement of the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation is the need of every human being;. According to Romans 3:23 (KJV)” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Through Whom is Salvation Possible?
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stands here before you whole.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:10,12 (KJV)
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21(KJV)
What is our condition?
1.We are born in sin- psalms 15:5;58:3; Isaiah 48:8 2.Our understanding is darkened- write Ephesians 4:18 3.Our heart is full of evil- Jeremiah 17:9 4.Our spiritually is dead- Ephesians 2:1
What do we need in our quest for Salvation?
The Holy spirit- 2nd Timothy 3:15
We should look to God- Isaiah 45:22
To believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ- Romans 1:16
To look for Christ return – Hebrews 9:28
Christ the author of salvation
The Apostle Paul is said to be author of Hebrews who correctly wrote that God is the author of eternal salvation
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Hebrews 5:9 (KJV)
Conclusion
The only way we can have salvation is by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ .
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25 (KJV)
Salvation is not for sale it is free gift to anyone who is willing to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. It is a blessing from God.
The Psalmist puts it this way salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Psalms 3:8 (KJV)
The obedience God required of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden He will see fulfilled in the remnant of His people. His desire is for all His children to be saved which is why He gave us laws to govern us so we can walk in the path of righteousness.
